All children who visit The Children's Place are eligible for Free Of Charge counseling services. Children who have experienced trauma or emotional events can also be referred by DHR or local law enforcement agencies. 

The Children's Place Counselor is trained in Trauma Focused and traditional talk counseling practices. Body and Personal Safety session are provided for children who are to young or may not require full counseling services. These session help teach children necessary body safety and personal skills that help them understand and keep themselves safe. 

The goal of Counseling at TCP is that children are able to heal on their terms and that families are able to move forward together.
