Professionals Against Child Trauma - PACT
The Multi-disciplinary Team approach is utilized to ensure that every agency involved in the investigation of child abuse cases is working together to seek justice and provide support.
Each member of the St. Clair County PACT Team plays a vital role in the process.

The Team
The District Attorney/Prosecutor - Leads our team meeting and makes final decisions on judicial charges.
The Advocacy Center & Forensic Interviewer - The Interviewer and family advocate to provide additional details and share any needs or updates from the family. The Advocacy Center coordinates the monthly meetings and ensure all cases are up to date.
Law Enforcement Investigators - conducts the criminal investigation and provides the team with updates of the case. Coordinates charges with the district attorney's office.
The Social Worker/DHR - DHR's goal is to make sure each child is in a safe environment. A DHR investigation is conducted separate from the criminal investigation as the State requires ALL child abuse claims be investigated.
Mental Health/Counselor - The CAC Counselor or other mental health provider provides insight into how the child is coping as well as aide in court preparation as needed.
Other Agencies and Professionals such as medical personnel and Juvenile Probation officers also play an important role in the PACT Team Meetings.
